Go PLAY! (Find Our Geocaches)

PSSSST! See that photo of the butterfly up there?
It's not a butterfly--it's a Geocache! And it's hidden somewhere in DC,
as part of our "Geocaching DC's Waterways" series.

CAN YOU FIND IT?!?

What is Geocaching?
Geocaching is a global, GPS-based scavenger hunt that allows us to explore our neighborhood history and art,
and--in this case--how to help protect our local waterways.

Does your family like scavenger hunts? Then go play!

First, download the free Groundspeak Geocaching app and
see how many Geocaches are in your neighborhood.

To find the geocaches associated with our
Department of Energy and Environment (DOEE)-funded project,
"Geocaching DC's Waterways," in which we worked with elementary schools students
to research and create a series of geoaches across DC
that teach the public about way to reduce the effects of stormwater runoff,
you can search the following "
geotag" ID numbers in the free app.
